职位详细介绍

In this highly visible and highly hands-on role, you will utilize your Engineering, Factory Management & Supply Chain skills in developing and implementing high throughput inspection equipment, leading edge quality systems and ultimately the best products available.

· Inspection & Measurement Equipment development

o In order to produce the perfect product it takes great inspection and measurement

o Help lead the development of state of the art inspection & measurement equipment for Apple product

· Quality Planning

o Apply solid understanding of quality control and manufacturing concepts to oversee the development of specific Product Quality Plans (PQP) appropriate to program and commodity

o Provide technical direction and guidance to other Quality Engineers supporting the implementation of the PQP

o Participate in the program planning and monitoring process assuming responsibility for key deliverables.

o Identify and direct studies to implement improvements in measuring method where appropriate.

o Coordinate Quality Engineering functions for multiple programs in the product category that you are responsible for.

o Interface with internal and external groups to ensure that proper definition of quality expectations and that appropriate assurance techniques are used for the product.

· Supplier Quality Management

o Assist in supplier selection process for new products and sourcing activities.

o Assess supplier production control and quality programs, identify shortfalls to expectations, and directly secure agreement to correct.

o Review PQP with supplier and other Apple functional groups to optimize supplier quality programs.

o Evaluate supplier readiness and adherence to PQP at all development and qualification stages.

o Monitor each supplier's performance through measurement of production line statistics, company inspections, and audits.

· Interacts with cross-function teams in Cupertino & APO to drive yield rate improvement.

· Review dimensional measurement systems in IQC, IPQC, OQC, and ORT to ensure high accuracy and correlation to other measurement systems in the supply chain.

· Weekly operations reporting to include Early Field Failure Analysis, ECO/NPI changes, Reliability Test Report.

· BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Industrial Engineering and Chemical Engineer with good knowledge of general manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, schematics, specs, test methods; Experiences in DFx (DFM , DFT...);ability to read a drawing and understanding the basics of metrology.

· Good written and oral communication skills, fluent in English and detail oriented.

· On site build support; willing to work from OEM factories.

· Willing to work independently and travel frequently upon request (mainly in Asia).

· Team player, self-motivated, result oriented & detailed oriented.

· At least 12 weeks full-time commitment to the internship, but intern duration can be flexible.

· Senior year undergraduates, 1st and 2nd year postgraduates are preferred

Manufacturing Process Engineering support for China region final assembly process. Position requires that candidate resides in either Shenzhen, Chengdu, Shanghai or Nanjing with efficient and frequent access to supplier locations in these cities. This position primarily involves manufacturing engineering support at supplier sites. One of primary duties is to support new product first article inspection reports review, new fixture/equipment qualification documentation, etc.

Other duties may include, auditing, problem solving, failure analysis and issues resolution activities that enhance and maintain product yield and quality.

· Fluent speech in English and Chinese languages.

· Fluent writing skills in English and Chinese.

· Ability to perform product first article inspection report review, new fixture/equipment qualification documentation, basic fixture/equipment bring up support.

· Basic analytic and problem solving skills.

· Superior computer and presentation skills.

· Basic mechanical and/or electronic engineering knowledge and skills.

· 3rd or final year B.Sc degree in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering seeking internship opportunities

· Focus on a few specific products made by Apple’s manufacturing partners in China.

· The person will need to develop a close working relationship with our manufacturing partners.

· Interface and coordinate work activities between Quality and other team members.

· Uses production and field data to monitor, control and improve product quality to improve the yield and reduce the field return rate.

· Execute the Product Quality plans for new products at the manufacturing partners and manage the product quality at the sites.

· Perform Audits at the manufacturing partners to ensure compliance.

· Ensure lessons learned from prior projects are used to improve the quality management process, and lead to improved product quality and reliability.

· Be responsible for implementing quality systems and following through on improvements and corrective actions.

· Independent, hard-working, creative, focused and organized.

· Demonstrated technical skills including experience and understanding of Assembly, Test, Pack-out, processes.

· Knowledge in quality methodologies with command of tools including statistical analysis, DOE, FMEA etc.

· Highly motivated and ability to drive closure of issues across cultures.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to concisely understand and communicate issues and lead a team to solution are required.

· Ability to multi-task, balancing daily activities with project related activities.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

· At least 12 weeks full-time commitment to the internship, but intern duration can be flexible.

· Must be an active student in good academic standing.

· Majors in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Automation

· Senior year undergraduates, 1st and 2nd year postgraduates are preferred
